3/19/2026 Free Talk with Patterns
Today, we practiced the patterns ‘안 / 못 / 잘 / 잘 못’ 💬 • 안 = don’t / not ❌ • 못 = can’t 🚫 • 잘 = well / good at 👍 • 잘 못 = not good at 👎 Especially ‘안’ — it’s such a simple grammar point, right? 😆 But when you actually try to use it in real conversation, it doesn’t come out as quickly as you think! ⏱️ That’s why in our Pattern class, our goal is to say one pattern over and over and over🔁 so it becomes natural and automatic! 💡 Sign up our next session for FREE here! www.bibikorean.com

WELCOME GREG! 🎉 Today, Teacher Soo taught us words and expressions used in Korean convenience stores. We also did a role-play 🎭, acting as a clerk and a customer. Today’s expressions : 1. 혹시 🤔 “혹시” is often used when asking something politely or carefully. It can mean “by any chance” in English, but it is also commonly used as an easy starter word when beginning a question. 2. 쏘맥 🍺+🥃 “Somaek” is a Korean drink made by mixing soju and beer together. The ratio of soju to beer is important , and many people have their own preferred mix.🍻

🎉 Teacher Soo led the class today! We made small break-out rooms and practiced speaking patterns for 30 minutes. Both teachers were in the rooms to give everybody feedback! 👏 💡 What we learned today: 1. 좋아요 (good) vs 좋아해요 (like) – completely different! ⚠️ Be careful! Your muscle memory might make you say 좋아요 instead of 좋아해요. 2. 무슨 (what) vs 뭐 (what) – Both mean “what” in English, but 뭐 → used with verbs 🏃‍♂️ / 무슨 → used with nouns. 3. V는 거 좋아해요 – When you want to say “I like swimming” 🏊‍♀️ or “I like cooking” 🍳, you must use this grammar pattern! You can find the class materials in the chat. I'll see you next week!
