EFT/tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique), is a self-regulation tool that combines acupressure and psychology, involving tapping specific points of face/body while acknowledging your feelings.
By stimulating these points while naming your emotions, EFT can help calm the nervous system, reduce stress , and create emotional clarity. It is used to support anxiety, overwhelm, trauma responses, and chronic pain, and is a sensory-friendly for neurodiverse individuals.
Script:
Side of hand:Even though I feel stressed, I completely and totally accept myself.
Even though I feel anxious, I completely and totally accept myself.
Even though I feel overwhelmed, I completely and totally accept myself.
Then tap:Eyebrow: This anxiety in my body
Side of eye: This feels like too much
Under eye: I feel overstimulated
Under nose: I don’t need to fix this right now
Chin: I’m allowed to feel this way
Collarbone: I’m OK even now
Underarm: I’m coming back to myself
Take a deep breath. Repeat, noticing any change.
