Stay Faithful No Matter What The Devil Throws At You!
Job 1:8 — God says “Have you considered my servant Job?” This is often misread as God initiating Job’s suffering. But look closer — God is essentially boasting about Job. He’s pointing to a man whose faith is so solid it becomes a testimony even in heaven. Your faithfulness is visible in realms you can’t see. Job 1:9-10 — Satan responds: “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have you not put a hedge around him?” Satan already knew about the hedge. He had already been circling Job, looking for a way in, and kept hitting a wall. This destroys the idea that the devil randomly attacks people. He is strategic, observant, and patient. He had been studying Job before God even brought Job’s name up. This directly confirms 1 Peter 5:8 — “Your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” The word “seeking” implies active surveillance, not random wandering.
