You don’t rise to your goals. You fall to your standards.
Last night, I asked my lifelong friend—now a Webby-winning TV host—how he created a life so far from where we came from.
He didn't even hesitate when he said:
“I raised my standards.”
That was it.
And it hit me like a truck.
Most people don’t fail because they're not "setting big goals".
They fail because they keep tolerating low standards:
  • Junk food.
  • Lazy effort.
  • Energy-draining friends.
  • Procrastination dressed up as "self-care".
Goals focus your attention.
Standards are your foundation.
Setting bigger goals without raising your standards... nothing changes.
So here’s the question I want to leave you with:
Where in your life is it time to raise your standards?
Drop it in the comments.
