Thinking about where freedom starts, one consideration is with identity and identification….. Identity is who we see ourselves as, do we identify as free? I have noted some see themselves as trapped, under siege from an evil force ( most easily defined one segment by their conspiracy theories) and or beholden to others, spawning movements to free themselves from tyranny (BLM / MAGA)..yet if you look into their eyes or hear their soul speak you see someone who is not free. Hence my thought, freedom starts when we identify ourselves as free. Really free, free from all, all the time. (I remember one day when my dad was around or just over 60 he leaned in and advised me that he was free from any crutches, signifying his fulfilment of a life long quest to be free) For me identification is how we attempt to put labels on our identity……some examples Status Title prestige ( member of the club) Location Race. ( I am a white man / European) Religion ( I am a Baptist vs I am a Christian) Sex Parental status ( I am a mother first) Relationship status (I am Joe’s wife) All of these in their own right are useful and important, but what happens when these labels are not in right relation to your own individual, uniques God given identity? I am exploring my thoughts on what is my identity, yes it is difficult as I am in a crises, but now more important than ever. Might as well explore my labels whilst I am at it!

Trains are channeled on tracks, flights on flight paths, jobs, careers, relationship choices and the food we harvest. All tracks… Birds are free, flight is wind bound and flight twitch decisions are harmonious with the environment, heart and needs. Thinking today of how I can be free whilst I ride this train to a decision, will it set me free or restrict my tomorrow?
