Far too often, I have seen brilliant people promoted into Management roles with little or no coaching, training or mentoring. In many cases, they are sent on a 2-day Leadership course and suddenly expected to lead people successfully!
That isn’t development — it’s setting someone up to fail.
My name is Yvette, and I have over 20 years of experience in Senior Leadership and Management roles. I have led large Call Centres, Sales Teams, Customer Service Teams, and now work as Head of HR.
I have worked with horrific managers, incredible mentors, and everything in between — and through every experience, I have learned something valuable. Sometimes through great leadership, and yes, sometimes through my own mistakes too!
