Coaching can be isolating. You're often the only one in your program thinking about defensive rotations at 11 PM or wondering if there's a better way to teach help-side positioning. You're grinding through film, designing plays, and trying to figure out how to reach that kid who's struggling—and sometimes it feels like you're doing it all alone. That's why I'm building this community. My hope is that this becomes a place where coaches can: Share what's working. That drill that finally clicked with your team? The practice structure that solved your time management issues? The way you motivated a struggling player? Other coaches need to hear it. Ask the questions that keep you up at night. Whether it's X's and O's, player development, or navigating the challenges of high school athletics, this should be a space where no question is too basic and no challenge is too small to discuss. Learn from each other's experiences. We all come from different programs, different levels, different states—but we're all trying to do the same thing: develop young people through basketball. Your perspective matters, and it can help someone else solve a problem they're facing right now. Celebrate this game we love. Basketball has given us so much. It's taught us about leadership, resilience, teamwork, and growth. We should have a place to share our love for the game and the moments that remind us why we coach. Support one another. Coaching has incredible highs and real lows. Having people who understand what you're going through—who've been there—makes all the difference. The most valuable resource any of us have? Each other. So here's my vision: a community where coaches show up for each other. Where we share openly, learn continuously, and lift each other up. Where a first-year coach can get advice from someone with thirty years of experience, and where that veteran coach can learn a new approach from someone just starting out. Basketball coaches are some of the most generous, passionate people I know. When we come together, we make each other—and our programs—better.
