hiii guys 🫶🏻, so happy to be here here !! My name is Laurence, I’m from Québec, Canada 🇨🇦 and I started dancing at 6 years old. Dance has been part of my life for over 15 years now. It shaped my discipline, my confidence, and the woman I am today. I began teaching ballet-jazz at 14 and hip-hop at 18. Over the years, I explored different styles, but I found my place in bachata ladystyling and have been coaching bachata since 2021 🤍 My focus in class is sensuality and body control especially developing independence between the upper and lower body. I try to build strong, feminine and powerful dancers. ✨ I currently lead one bachata ladystyling team who’s named Las Divinas in Thetford-Mines. I’m deeply passionate about learning and growth. I never miss an opportunity to train, improve my skills, and evolve as a dancer, so I can bring that knowledge back to my girls and help them grow even more. I also organize multicultural dance events called Connection Night in my city, creating spaces where people with diverse culture connect, grow, and elevate through dance. Alongside dance, I’m a certified aesthetician in a Spa and a nail tech at my place 💅🏽 because confidence isn’t just how you move, it’s how you show up. Dance is not just something I do. My name is Sofiia, I’m from Ukraine originally where I lived 13 years. Now I live in Canada 🇨🇦, Quebec City 🏙️. I have been a dancer for about 9 years now and a latin dancer for almost 4 years 🤍 I’m an international bachata artist, which means I travel a lot around to teach at different congeresses and events✨ I also competed a lot before being a social dancer, which is were I have most of my knowledge and technique now! Later I got certified in Bachata Influence by Melvin and Gatica in Poland and Luis & Andres for Sensual Bachata. 😍 I have my own dance academy in Canada where I also have a team of teachers and we continue teaching in person there) I decided to start this journey with an online academy and community, because back when I wanted to learn more, there were nothing available in my city past the beginner level and I had to travel outside to learn. Hello, beautiful community 🔥💃 I am a teacher/choreographer and dancer in Canada 🇨🇦, I live in Quebec City. I started my dance career very young at the age of 9, and then quickly competed for the studio party Time in hip-hop. For 5 years I have been teaching full-time hip-hop for children, teenagers and adults in Quebec, I have been a Latin dance teacher in the Urban category for 4 years now. What I wanted to do was to bring to Quebec what others did not dare to do like dance classes Reggaeton, Reparto cute . Let's say I like to do that that others don't teach. I joined the Bailalma dance company this year to teach my classes because Sofia and I have the same vision of dance. We are constantly working to always bring you something new in a professional and social environment so that you can learn at your own pace and we will always listen to you. Bailama is more than a dance academy it is a community inked in passion, the femininity of self-esteem, learning to love each other again and to share a good time together.
