December Canine Parkour Anywhere Challenge!
For December, Brenna graciously invited me to offer a Parkour Challenge! With the recent introduction of the new "Anywhere Tracks" in All Dogs Parkour, I thought it would be fun to offer a Challenge where you could create a Level 1 Anywhere Regular Track entry that could - if you so choose - be entered for a title. So, the first part of this challenge is to create 8 video clips of your dog performing All Dogs Parkour Exercises. The ones that I have chosen to teach for this Challenge are: Get On 2 Front Feet, Get On 4 Feet, Go Under, Between, Jump Clean, Go Around, and Figure 8. If you are familiar with All Dogs Parkour, you are more than welcome to use other Exercises, but I am only teaching these Exercises as part of the Challenge. You can use any items that you have for your dog to perform these Exercises, but for the Get On 4 Feet, please keep the item under the height of your dog's elbow. If the item is elbow height or higher, you do have to spot/support, and I am not including instruction on that skill for this challenge. (Again, if you are familiar with ADP and you know how to spot/support, you are welcome to use something higher and do so). Your dog does not have to perform all 7 of the Exercises. For Level 1, four "repeats" are allowed. Just remember that a "repeat" has to be performed on/with a different item. (Figure 8 can only be performed once). I provide a general description of this Challenge in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaPcYpf0ep8 And, in this video, I teach the seven Exercises. (I can provide this in typed form, if any of you prefer that). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1VZvCWWp18 In the Anywhere Track, "Off-List" variations of Exercises are allowed, and I address that in the video. As you create your videos, feel free to post them in this forum, and I will give you feedback. I will let you know if any changes are needed for the clip to meet All Dogs Parkour submission criteria.

THE DECEMBER CHALLENGE IS COMING
We plan to have info ready for you by the beginning of next week! Reminder to be on the lookout for the following items to use in the upcoming challenge: *Something for your dog to get one with two front feet *An item that is dog-elbow-height or lower for your dog to get completely on *Something your dog can jump over *Something your dog can go under *Various items your dog can interact with (like going around, etc.) ***Agility equipment is allowed but may not be used as intended for agility (you can go under a jump but not over it, for example). Looking forward to it!

Nine for November Challenge Announcement
Ask questions or share your thoughts about this group challenge here! Feel free to share this with your friends and ask them to join us! The Challenge Thread will be opened shortly. I look forward to seeing your entries! **There is no limit on number of dogs entered. Just make separate entries, please.** Backyard Dog Training Matters Nine for November Challenge! Submit 9 different trained behaviors to complete the challenge! Behaviors must be clearly cued, or an explanation of the cue must be provided with the video. No random behaviors can be claimed. Each behavior must be presented separately, so no 1 behavior can count as 2 or more because of the separate parts. (Example: an A-frame performance can’t count for 1. A-frame 2. Two-on/Two-off behavior.) A minimum of 2 behaviors must use a prop or piece of equipment (example, agility jump, obedience dumbbell, hoop, cone). Dogs may exhibit behaviors on a platform or other raised surface without it counting as a prop/equipment as long as it isn’t an integral part of the behavior. A maximum of 5 behaviors may use a prop or piece of equipment. Video submissions must include handler name and dog name. Each behavior must be labeled with the name of the behavior or a description if needed. The label should also include whether it counts as 1 of the 2 required prop behaviors. Preferred: Behaviors are edited together into 1 video with text labels as part of the video, and uploaded to the Challenge thread. Acceptable: Behaviors are uploaded separately into a playlist on YouTube or a similar provider and labels are in the description portion with the link posted in the Challenge thread. Complete the Challenge and receive a downloadable certificate to print or share on social media. DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 30, 11:59PM ET. Good luck! https://www.skool.com/backyard-dog-training-matters-
