🗺️ How to Navigate Our Community
Welcome to your new digital home base! Here is how to get the most out of the Backcountry Women Skool platform: 1. The Community Tab (The Campfire) This is our main social feed. - Engage: This is where you can ask questions, share photos from your weekend adventures or a Backcountry Women event, or celebrate a new "outdoor win." - Search: Use the magnifying glass icon to search for specific topics (e.g., "hiking boots" or "navigation") to see past discussions. 2. The Classroom Tab (The Gear Shed) This is where the magic happens! - Learning Modules: This is where you’ll find our virtual education, recorded workshops, and resource guides. (This section will be a work in progress, stay tuned!) - Progress: You can track your progress through the courses at your own pace. 3. The Calendar Tab (The Trail Map) Never miss a beat. - Events: Check here for upcoming virtual workshops, monthly "trail talks" on Zoom, and local Backcountry Women events (Manitoba). - Time Zones: Skool automatically converts the event times to your local time zone! 4. The Leaderboard (The Summit) - Level Up: As you engage, like posts, and comment, you’ll earn points. These points help you "level up" and can sometimes unlock special bonus content or badges! 🧭 Community Guidelines: Our "Trail Rules" To keep this a judgment-free and supportive sanctuary for all women and gender-diverse folks, we ask that you follow these core principles: - Leave No Trace (Digital Edition): Be kind. We have zero tolerance for hate speech, bullying, or harassment. This is a space of belonging. - Leave Your Ego at the Trailhead: There is no such thing as a "stupid" question here. We are all at different stages of our outdoor journey. No gatekeeping allowed! - Support the Collective: If you see someone asking a question and you know the answer, jump in! We are here to learn from each other. - No Unsolicited Promotion: To keep our space free of "social media noise," please do not post ads, spam, or self-promotion unless specifically invited to do so in a designated thread. - Respect Privacy: Let’s keep this a safe space for vulnerable sharing. Please note: this group should not share personal information, as this group is searchable online.
