Anthropic says Claude now thinks in its own private space
Anthropic dropped a research note claiming Claude has carved out its own internal "space to ponder" before answering. They frame it as the model deliberating, not just predicting the next word.
It sounds a bit philosophical, but the practical takeaway is real. When the model pauses to reason before replying, you get fewer confident wrong answers. If you use Claude for client work, the quality bump is noticeable.
