🎤AI Role Play aka your practice partner use cases
I don’t think I’ve shared this before, but I’ve been playing with a use case that turned out to be far more powerful than I expected, which is using AI for role play in learning and practice. This actually came up in one of our Weekly AMA Calls back in December. We were talking about how this could be used to practice difficult or high-stakes conversations. Things like negotiations, conversations with a manager, employees or colleagues and other scenarios. Here are a few concrete examples, hopefully they inspire you to try if you haven't already: 1. Practicing difficult conversations and negotiations For example, giving feedback to an employee, negotiating compensation, or preparing for a challenging conversation with a manager or client. You feed the AI context about the situation, the people involved, and what you are trying to achieve. Then you ask it to roleplay the other person. You respond out loud, pause, ask questions, and try different approaches. You can ask it for feedback on where you have gaps in your arguments or where are your blind spots and help you to practice that. The biggest value here is not only the AI’s answers, even thought they can give some good insights. The value is in you practicing clarity, tone, boundaries, and confidence before the real conversation happens. I don't remember how is it called, but I know its backed by neuroscience too :) Easiest set up: NotebookLM or Projects in ChatGPT or Claude with voice mode. 2. Interview and job preparation with real context A very practical setup is for job interviews. You go into NotebookLM, find/upload information about the company, the job description, and your CV. Then you use the audio mode and ask it to act as the interviewer. It feels much closer to a real rehearsal than reading interview questions on a website. You are training your thinking and communication, ability to respond from different angles. Boom, the job is yours ;) 3. Pitches and presentations
