Climbs ?
I’ve been working through the differences between step climbs, cruise climbs and en‑route climbs, and just wanted to check that the way I'm thinking lines up with how others approach them. For step climbs I’m simply adding the standard 50 kg per 1,000 ft allowance to the zone fuel, for en‑route climbs I’m taking the fuel/time/distance directly from the climb charts based on the difference between the starting and finishing flight levels and for cruise climbs I’m treating the climb as embedded in the cruise performance by using the mid‑zone FL and GW for the cruise tables. Does this match how everyone else is calculating these?
AFT flight planning distance course
has anyone done AFTs AFPA online course? Just wondering if it’s worth the money? TIA
