Why the Mat color will influence your views
I’ve cross trained a dozens of gyms in my jujutsu career and posted raw content from me rolling at each gym and I’ve noticed personally that when I grapple at Jim‘s with a blue mat or a light gray or straight up black Matt, I get the most amount of views specifically for me. Blue mats with yellow seem to do the best on social media followed in close second by light gray mats with a white wall behind it.
I think the simple answer to this is that Ivy JJF has blue and yellow pants and those clips go insanely viral on Instagram all the time because it’s a high-level competition for it. White walls with light gray mats resembles the BT which their videos go viral all the time, and it’s also extremely aesthetic and visually pleasing, especially coupled with light colored grass guards. And then black nuts resemble ADCC
