Before you open a chart this week, one question about last week.
Sometime this week a setup came along that met every rule you had written, and you did not take it. And sometime this week one came along that met none of them, and you took it without pausing. Most of us did both. Often on the same day.
Those are not two different failures. It is one loop. You hesitate because you are afraid of losing, you miss, and missing makes the next one feel urgent - so you force it. The forcing loses, and now you hesitate harder.
The way out is not more discipline. It is deciding earlier. Write your entry criteria down before the session starts, so the trader who shows up at 2pm has to argue with something in writing instead of with a feeling.
