Position Description
Role Title: Technical Project Lead (Full-Stack & DevOps) – Vietnam
Location: Vietnam-based, with hybrid/remote flexibility.
Role Summary
We are seeking a mid-to-senior full-stack developer with DevOps capability to anchor our Vietnam operations. This hybrid role combines hands-on development, technical leadership, and mentorship of junior team members.
You will:
- Deliver client projects across web, cloud, and AI.
- Establish modern engineering and DevOps practices.
- Mentor interns from leading local universities.
- Collaborate with an existing technical partner while gradually building an independent delivery hub.
This is a foundational opportunity to help shape the technical DNA of a growing consultancy.
About the Organization
We are a boutique consultancy blending management methods with digital enablement. We help organizations succeed by truly knowing their customers and delivering measurable outcomes across strategy, experience design, and digital solutions.
We work principally across three key sectors:
- Lifestyle: tourism, hospitality, sport
- Learning: higher education, vocational education and training
- Services: government, professional, and not-for-profits
To support growth, we are establishing a Vietnam Technical Hub that combines:
- Permanent hires in Vietnam (this role + interns)
- A partnership with a local software development company, which will gradually transition as our own hub becomes self-sufficient.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Development
- Lead full-stack development across AI and web projects, from architecture to deployment.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Provide technical sign-off to ensure scalability, security, and code quality.
Team Mentorship
- Mentor and coach interns from leading local universities.
- Document project work step by step, creating guides and training materials.
- Build professional standards aligned with international consulting expectations.
Partnership Coordination
- Collaborate with local partner team members, including senior technical leaders, project managers, and developers.
- Support gradual internal capability-building while maintaining strong external collaboration.
AI Product Development
- Contribute to AI product development (e.g., chatbots, onboarding systems).
- Ensure innovations translate into repeatable client value.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in full-stack development, including leadership or mentoring experience
- Back-end: Python, Java, or C#
- Front-end: React, Next.js, or similar frameworks
- DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployment (AWS/Azure)
- Exposure to AI/ML (e.g., chatbots, RAG, prompt engineering)
- WordPress and managed services experience (advantageous)
- Excellent English communication (written and spoken)
