Question For The Community
As the Acting Academy continues growing, I want to make sure I’m creating content that actually helps YOU. So tell me: What do you most want out of this group right now? Examples: - self tape help - audition tips - finding casting calls - voice acting advice - networking help - confidence building - branding/social media - how to start acting - resume/headshot guidance - industry Q&A’s - podcast opportunities No answer is too small or “beginner.” I want this community to become a genuinely helpful resource for actors and creatives trying to navigate the industry without gatekeeping 🖤

Welcome to Artsy’s Acting Academy! I created this space because when I started acting, I had no idea where to begin. No connections, no industry family, no roadmap. Over the past 2 years, I’ve built 20+ credits through indie film, networking, self-submissions, voice acting, creator branding, and learning everything through experience. This community exists to help actors navigate the industry without gatekeeping. Whether you’re brand new or trying to level up, you belong here. Introduce yourself below: - Name - Where you’re from - Dream role/project - What you want help with most 🎭
Acting Academy — Community Rules
Welcome to the community! This space was created to help actors grow, learn, network, and navigate the industry without gatekeeping. Please keep this a supportive, professional, and creative environment for everyone involved. 1. Respect Everyone No bullying, harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or unnecessary negativity. Constructive feedback is encouraged — cruelty is not. 2. No Gatekeeping This community exists to help actors learn. Share knowledge, support others, and avoid elitist behavior. 3. Keep Self Promotion Reasonable Sharing projects, reels, headshots, and wins is encouraged in the appropriate sections. Spam posting, constant promo, or unrelated advertising will be removed. 4. Protect Privacy & Professionalism Do not leak casting information, private conversations, contracts, or sensitive production details that could harm others professionally. 5. No Scams or Fake Casting Calls Any suspicious opportunities, pay-to-play scams, or misleading casting posts will be removed immediately. 6. Feedback Should Be Helpful If giving advice or critique, be constructive and respectful. We’re here to help each other improve, not tear people down. 7. Stay On Topic Keep posts relevant to acting, filmmaking, voice acting, branding, networking, auditions, content creation, and creative growth. 8. This Is a Community — Not Competition Celebrate each other’s wins. Networking and kindness go further in this industry than people think. Most importantly: have fun, create fearlessly, and remember that every working actor started somewhere. 🎭
