⭐ Quick Tip: Using Complementary Colors With Speedpaints for Better Basecoats
This technique is super fast and gives your minis deep, natural shadows with almost no effort: 1. Start with the opposite color on the color wheel (using Speedpaints)If your final color will be blue, apply orange first. If it will be brown, apply green, etc. This creates a powerful shadow base. 2. Do a white drybrushThis sets your highlights and defines the volumes before the final color. 3. Apply the actual color on topThe final color blends everything together, but the complementary color underneath pushes the shadows and gives you natural, high-contrast depth. 4. Result:More contrast, more speed, and a mini that looks advanced with very few steps. Question:👉 What complementary combo do you want to try first using this method?
