This is the best piece I created from last night's costume drawing. The model has not only a Batman costume but a scarecrow costume. So what he's holding in his hand is the scarecrow mask. In the past I have struggled with drawing the different Batman models that we've had because there's so much black. I tried to pay attention to negative shapes, mid-tones, and shadows and I think it came out better. Probably could have added a few more highlights. Obviously I wouldn't call it realism but I thought it came out pretty decent for a 15-minute sketch. The model really liked it so I gave it to him.
