Trainer Q & A- Arsenal VIP is happening in 19 hours
Success and Q’s!
Been working on Lucy’s distance down and wanted to share :) I’m wondering tips on getting more engagement on leash? She checks in a good amount when she’s off leash, which is awesome. On leash - when’s she’s not in a ‘let’s go’ - she’s nose to the ground and I don’t exist on the other end of the leash. The pulling is getting better, which is something… Things I’ve tried: -Starting the walk with ‘work’ (‘let’s go’, sits and downs, touch, etc) -Starting the walk with play -Little bursts of play throughout the walk -Switching directions -Treat whenever she glances at me (not often 😂) -Stopping until she notices me (haaha this felt bad, she just intensely sniffed the area we stopped in 😂) Any ideas would be appreciated!

Post Board and Train Question
Our dog Chael loves being around other dogs. He's been cautious around people but great around other dogs. His time at off-leash parks (even when we keep him on a long leash) is his favourite time. As per the direction we received at graduation, we've steered clear of off-leash parks until Chael solidifies everything he's learned. The one thing I've noticed as I've taken him on neighbourhood walks, is that he get very barky and aggressive when we see another dog. The stim helps, but I've found it strange that he's taken on this new behaviour. Any thoughts?
Post Board and Train Question
Doggy anxiety
Hello , we just had our dog Gunner in the board and train program and he graduated Friday the 20th ! Yay !🎉. I do have a question . He has anxiety (big reason we sent him for board and train) , he’s done so so good every weekend we had taken him home with still continuing to follow commands while in stressful situations, in stores , walks etc . Today we had a plumber come to our home , this was gunners first encounter with a stranger in our home since prior to board and train . He’s had a huge setback day since the encounter . Not following commands on walks now with strangers walking past he yanks on the leash and wants to flee even with the under the legs command and reminder from the trustee e collar … what can we do to tell him “HEY, you’re ok” . Thank you 😊
Crate help
Pepper is having issues staying in her crate throughout the night. Last night she woke up at 1am crying until someone goes in the room. The night before she was crying at 4am. It’s hard when I have to be up early for work. How can we fix this?
More group classes
I would like to see more more group classes. So valuable, so much benefit❤️❤️❤️ Once a week. So valuable!
