Success and Q’s!
Been working on Lucy’s distance down and wanted to share :)
I’m wondering tips on getting more engagement on leash? She checks in a good amount when she’s off leash, which is awesome. On leash - when’s she’s not in a ‘let’s go’ - she’s nose to the ground and I don’t exist on the other end of the leash. The pulling is getting better, which is something… Things I’ve tried:
-Starting the walk with ‘work’ (‘let’s go’, sits and downs, touch, etc)
-Starting the walk with play
-Little bursts of play throughout the walk
-Switching directions
-Treat whenever she glances at me (not often 😂)
-Stopping until she notices me (haaha this felt bad, she just intensely sniffed the area we stopped in 😂)
Any ideas would be appreciated!
