I’m the founder of the Arnhem Skool Community, driven by a deeply personal connection to the Battle of Arnhem. My maternal grandfather fought there, forging a lifelong bond with Kate ter Horst, the “Angel of Arnhem,” while my paternal grandfather and father served in the British Airborne, carrying forward the legacy of courage and resilience.
Inspired by my family’s story and a passion for history, I’ve created this space to honour the bravery, sacrifice, and humanity of those who stood against tyranny in WWII’s most desperate battle. This isn’t just about the Bridge—it’s about the grit, compassion, and incredible stories that emerged from the Hexenkessel.
Together, we’ll dive into the untold narratives of soldiers, civilians, and the resistance, preserving their legacy and finding lessons that resonate today.
Join me as we remember, learn, and carry forward the torch of their courage.
