Start here and read 'em community rules!
This group is for The Side Blogger Vault members (exceptions have been made for early supporters). Our shared goal is to monetize our ideas, expertise, skills, etc., with our blogs and newsletters. So, to that end... ______ ‼️Pay attention to these rules: → Be cool, respectful, and responsible → This is NOT a community to link drop or promote your offers (except in your intro post). Do NOT do it unless asked (I, Maliha, your community overlord, am the exception; I get to promote whatever I want... yeep!) → Engage. This isn't for lurkers. ______ 💡Recommended: → Create a new post and introduce yourself as soon as you join this group (feel free to add a link to your site/opt-in page in this intro post) → If you have questions or cool ideas, feel free to create a new post in the community and ask/share away → Network with fellow members ______ Also, read this for: - How to be a cool community member and promote without promoting
How much can/should you share in a community?
In John B's group, @Gc Tsalamagkakis shares something interesting that I've been wondering about for some time myself: How much can or should you share in communities? For example, if you have a quick update, you may go to social media and share that. For those of up not on social media (at least, not in any meaningful way), where is that quick update place? I don't want to just share a quick one-liner update in my emails... But now that I have this community, I can come here and share updates. And honestly, that would be cool, and I want my members to share their quick wins and updates, too! What I don't want is people posting whatever that has nothing to do with their business or writing... it has happened in the past when I removed the user... but it feels icky to do so... Anyway... you are the members of this community and you get to choose what the community should look or behave like... what are your thoughts???
What's stopping you from hitting your next income goal?
I'm hosting a Monetization Q&A call on May 20: https://luma.com/14cokvj1 But I want to hear your thoughts ahead of the call. What's keeping you from hitting your next income goal? For me, I know what I need to do, but I'm just not doing it. Why? Who tf knows... maybe it's procrastination, or adhd, or any of life's mysterious afflictions. I wanna know what's stopping you, so I have time to think about them ahead of the call. Is it that you're not sure what you should be doing? Trouble making offers? Not knowing what your audience wants? Are you chronically depressed? Anything else? Lemme know! (The Monetization Q&A call is free to Vault members, FYI.)
Live newsletter writing
One dude in my January cohort of Write Without AI said he wanted to see how I write my emails... 🙃 Email writing is NOT a linear process for me, so naturally, that made me super nervous and I didn't do anything with that feedback/request... whatever... until now... But last night, in an unnaturally brave moment that only happens super rarely, I decided to give it a go. The result is an hour-long rambly email writing session... in case anyone bothers... (the dude who asked for it never joined Anthill, so whatever... his loss). https://youtu.be/IZXNfKU5v8w And if you're curious what the end result is (slightly different because I went through another round of editing after I stopped recording... mostly just tightening up loose ends)... https://ckarchive.com/b/wvu2hghkpwq2lh9r552rqtndd5wn0a8h6q34
