Detox Foundations
Detox starts with:🪴
Remove what’s stressing the liver 🙏🏻:
alcohol, ultra-processed foods, excess sugar.
Less in = less to clear.
Your liver detoxes in stages:
⚠️ Phase 1 turns toxins into more reactive compounds
✅ Phase 2 neutralises them so they can be eliminated
If you’re not pooping daily, you’re not detoxing 🤨
Harsh truth!
Hydration helps here > aim for 2-3L per day if not cardiac restricted. Be mindful of detox teas - some can reduce your essential electrolytes! 💧 🚰
🥬 Gentle fibre = safe detox.
Aim for ~30 g fibre per day🥦
Leafy greens🥬 Brassica veg (broccoli, kale)🌿 Bitter leaves.
Aim to fill up half of your plate with veg at each meal 🍽️🥙
These support Phase 2 detox + bind toxins for safe exit 💩🔬 Detox = Phase 1 ➡️ Phase 2 ➡️ OUT of the body
👉 If elimination pathways (gut, urine, sweat) are blocked, toxins can recirculate — which may worsen symptoms like headaches, fatigue & brain fog.
