Same Mold. Zero Clones. How?!
@Natalie Hernandez came from Toronto to my Barcelona studio to make her first doll. We used my silicone moulds—and her first face already has its own character. I see this with my students all the time: same mould, completely different dolls. Somehow, you press a little of your soul into the silicone. I still don’t know how. 👀 In the new Made Together: Natalie’s first results, polymer clay, student creations, and online vs. in-person classes. There’s also a doll wig made from Yorkshire terrier hair. The dog has entered the fashion industry. 🐶 Do your dolls look like you? Share a photo in the comments—let’s compare! Enjoyed the episode? Leave a like. Something didn’t work for you? Tell us that too!

Welcome! Introduce yourself + show us your worktable 🎉
Please tell us where in the world you are, what you like to make, and share a photo of your workspace. Even better — put your current project on the table. Finished or unfinished, all are welcome. 👁️ Have a look through the Classroom and check the Calendar for live sessions. If you get stuck, post your question or send me photos in DM. 🇬🇧 Please use English in the main community whenever possible, rather than Russian or Spanish, so everyone can follow along. 🎁 I’ll also soon announce a competition with valuable prizes. The theme will be anthropomorphic articulated animals, so start collecting ideas. 🔜 There will be many more of us here soon, so feel free to talk to each other, share ideas, and make new creative connections. This community is not only about learning from me — it’s also about learning from each other. ❓ And since doll making is probably not your only interest, tell us what else you enjoy outside the studio. (Mine are swimming and cycling along the sea.) So, introduce yourself, show us your worktable, tell us what you’re making now — and what you like doing when you’re not making dolls.

This week it’s a recording, and it’s already available. From next week, join us live every week at 20:00! At 10:35, I reveal the tiny detail behind that hypnotic gaze. Your dolls may never look at you the same way again. 👀 We also talk teeth, carving tools, and Nikolai’s campaign to save the doll’s ears. What did you like—or dislike? What should we show next? Tell us in the comments, and leave a like if you enjoyed it! 👂 ✂️ 👂 Are we cutting the ears off? (Find out more in this episode.) https://youtu.be/yo6v7eYR0nQ&views
