Nice to meet you all!
Hi everyone, thank you to Matthew for inviting me. I'm not gonna lie, I've been peeking at the posts/comments to familiarize myself a little, and you all look so advanced and knowledgeable I feel a bit intimidated, as I am no where near.
Bit of my background, I have Long Covid+ ME/CFS and I am an advocate, however my energy is very limited and cognitive/emotional exertion takes a lot out of me - pushing thru is not an option as that makes me worse and lowers my baseline. Which is why meditating can be challenging at times.
Prior to getting sick in 2020, I used to be a competitive swimmer, meditation and visualization were a normal part of my life and training. I had a good job, was finally financially independent, and thanks to my life struggles, I'm strong enough to stay afloat now. I've always considered myself spiritual but not religious, in fact, being Mexican I was raised Catholic, but ever since I was a child I question the church's teachings because they made no sense to me. I read The third eye by Lobsang Rampa (I know) but that opened my eyes that there was a lot more than whatever I was being taught. So I embarked on a journey to try to learn as much as I could about energy, chakras, meditation, past lives, etc.
Moreover, I've always experienced....things...and vibes, dreams, what I've felt were past life snap vision, and sensations I couldn't explain, and have been told by many I have sensitivities but have never been able to find anyone to help me learn more and/or develop. I've felt great and strong connections, then they fade. So I feel very grateful to have found Matthew to show me this community and I am thrilled to be here.
I am 41 😓 living in Vancouver Canada for over 20yrs now. I LOVE nature, and feel I have a special connection with animals. I will do my best to participate as much as I can given my limitations, and I can't wait to embark in this very exciting journey with all of you!!
