Any tips on how to clean the hives over the winter? I always have extra frames with some waxy stuff on them thats a bit tricky to clean up. I also have an older hive that was really infested I want to learn how to completely sanitize if possible.
I harvested some honeycomb in preparation for a winter varroa treatment. I didn’t have time to crush it so its just sitting in a food safe bucket, taunting me with its delicious smell! Have you ever had that problem?
Has anyone gone through this process? Speed is of the essence - that is - very slow and measured - even if you think everything is going perfectly, always wait another month or three before leaving them unmonitored, and only if zero instances of aggression or chasing.
