I’ve been sitting with a lot today.
A supported forward bend helped… but the truth is, the world feels heavy right now.
There’s so much noise online.
So much prejudice.
So many harsh opinions.
Add the economy, politics, and the constant stream of bad news, and it’s been weighing on me more than usual.
I’ve felt overwhelmed.
I’ve felt low.
And it’s been hard to shake.
But I also know this:
When my system is tired, everything feels darker than it really is.
It doesn’t mean the world is ending.
It means I’m overloaded.
So here’s what I did today, and maybe it helps you too if things have been feeling too much:
1. I stopped scrolling.
I don’t need more noise. My heart can’t hold it right now.
2. I put my hand on my chest and breathed.
Slow, small breaths.
Nothing fancy, just enough to remind my body that I’m safe.
3. I chose one simple grounding step.
Something tiny I could actually do.
No pressure.
No fixing.
Just shifting my state a little.
It’s not about pretending everything is fine.
It’s about giving myself a way back to centre when the world feels like a lot.
If you’re feeling the weight of things too, here are a few things that might help:
- take a break from news and social
- put your hand on your chest and breathe
- look around and name three things you see
- step outside for a minute
- make something warm to drink
- pick one tiny task that feels doable
None of these solve the world.
But they help your system settle enough to see it more clearly again.
🌿I’d love to hear from you:
What helps you come back to yourself when everything feels overwhelming?
Share if you want to, your way might be exactly what someone else needs.
