Long Post! Huge Announcment :)
Hey Everyone! I have a huge announcement and I am very excited about it. My goal for this group is for anyone who wants to get into running, who wants to get better at running, and who wants to not get injured has everything they possibly need in one spot. Something I have noticed is that getting help/training can get very expensive…
I 1000% know that 1-on-1 in-person training with a professional can change your life!
But for so many people that is either too expensive, too time consuming, and for a lot of people it's way too intimidating.
So I want to make it a lot easier for people to get into this.

These last 2 weeks I have had about 30 conversations with beginner runners and that is what has guided me.

So here is where I am going with this groupMost online programs charge $150-$200/month and want a long term commitment.
I am going to start the group at $34/mo with no commitment.
After a few months I think i will raise it to $49 but we will tackle that when it comes.
***P.S. The group will remain 100% free for everyone who has already joined***

And for the $34 here is what everyone will get if they join…
  1. The core of many programs is a run plan to follow. For example a 12 week couch to 5k, or 16 week half marathon, etc…
These usually sell for $50ish alone.
In the group we are going to have a variety of plans people can follow (from experts, book, etc…)
They will be put into easy to follow week by week modules
  1. Everyone is different. So I am (with the help of a run coach I am talking with) going to make custom run training plans for anyone who wants them.
These are $100-$150 each. And will be included for free.
  1. Weekly follow up accountability call/message for anyone who gets a run plan
I want them to get full value from the run plan but more importantly I want to make sure the plan is working for them…
Does it need to be harder? Easier? Plus I want to make sure they are not getting injured.
  1. One of the core things here are access to local experts to get feedback and ask questions directly
Have foot pain? Ask a Massage therapist
Think you might have shin splints or a stress fracture? Ask a personal trainer
Have questions about food? Ask a nutritionist
And more will be added over time
  1. Weekly Q/A sessions with a variety of experts on a variety of topics.
Have specific scheduled times to come and ask an expert anything and get an answer back instantly.
  1. A series of Injury prevention plans you can do in under 10 minutes a day
Most people will not spend a lot of time doing what is necessary
I want to lower the barrier to make the right thing -- The easy thing
Not going to ask for 20 different exercises and 40 minutes…
Here are 2-4 exercises a day that you can complete in less than 10.
  1. A series of Recovery plans that you can do in under 10 minutes a day
The exact same method as injury prevention.
  1. A series of Strengthening plans that you can do in under 10 minutes a day
The exact same method as Prevention and Recovery.
I want people to get better, feel stronger, run longer and not get injured without asking them to go to the gym 3x a week for 90 minutes.
  1. I want to promote group engagement 
Everyday I am going to post to the group on a variety of topics to get the group talking.
For example, to celebrate wins, what gear people recommend, places people should run, etc…
I will put out a bunch of post ideas I have soon.
  1. I want to have lots of rewards and giveaways!
I am going to have a monthly giveaway based on how many members have joined.We are going to do a draw for $50 cash for every 5 new members!I will throw it in the group calendar when the draw is.
  • It will be live and recorded (on zoom)
*** I am going to give bonus entries based on your level in the group ***
(So for example right now Desiree would have 2 entries, Maria would have 2, Rich would have 1, and so on…)
Which means the more you engage in the group… the more likely you are to win.
  1. There is going to be events
I want to get to a place where there are 4 events per month
Spread into different areas/locations so that more people can come have fun.
I want to host 5k runs, family friendly runs (I have 2 kids), 5k walks, trail runs, etc…

  1. Deals for members
I am working on some partnerships and excited to share more in the near future.
But I want members to get good discounts/deals on things that make them better!
Plus to be able to support local businesses is always a win :)
  1. Supporting local charities
I am looking at taking $5/member and making a donation to a local charity/cause every month.
