A few days ago as I was heading home,
Some random woman crashed into me,
She ran a stop sign and crashed straight into my rear,
She hit me so hard, I ended up slamming a concrete pole.
I was fine but my car? Not so much.
It was almost totaled…
Ok… and what does that have to do with copy?
Her whole family showed up on scene and her brother came up with an offer,
“We’ll pay for your car, but don’t report this to the police.”
Tempting, right?
I refused
Why? What made me walk away?
I mean, my car was old and the insurance payout wouldn’t be that much.
The issue was (drum beats lol) their offer.
I had basically no reason to trust them, reporting to the police was mandatory, and I had no guarantee
that I'd receive my money, I had just met them yk…
Listen to this,
Your life is made out of more offers than you realize.
Persuasion is NOT a skill that you use in writing and then throw out the window!
You use it every time you want something.
more importantly…
Copywriting works in the same way, it’s a mindset.
And persuasion is about more than words. It’s about understanding:
- Offers: Are they irresistible? Do they solve a real problem?
- Trust: What guarantees do you give? How do you make people feel safe saying “yes”?
- Testimonials: What proof do you offer to back up your claims?
In conclusion,
Learn how to build trust and build offers.
It might just save you from your next “crash.”
