The Hardest Part Wasn’t the App Idea
I used MakerAI to help shape my first AI software project, ClickReadyAI.
It’s for Etsy sellers who want better product images and stronger listings without spending hours guessing what to fix.
One thing I’ve learned early:
The idea is not the hardest part.
The hard part is narrowing the idea into something clear enough to build.
MakerAI helped me clarify:
Who the app is really for
What painful problem it solves
What version 1 should include
How to explain it simply
What I should validate before building too much
For me, the biggest shift was going from:
“An AI tool for Etsy sellers”
to:
“An app that helps Etsy sellers improve product images and listing quality faster.”
That feels much easier to build, test, and explain.
Curious how others are thinking about this:
What was harder for your first software idea, finding the idea or cutting it down to a simple MVP?
