I always take reviews as feedback, no matter how discouraging it can seem. Especially when we have been hosting for a while, sometimes things in the property itself start to lose their 'shine' or we are less proactive with guest communication.
My motto is "Reviews Leave Clues" and if there is a consistent run of ratings that are lower than previous I look for the pattern and try to correct it. Which category have you been rated down on the most?
Something that happened with my reviews - I suddenly got a run of 4 Stars for Location which was weird - of course nothing had changed about the location of the property!
When I went to the property my neighbours across the street had piled a few pieces of discarded furniture on the street. Naturally that really wasn't a vibe! I took action to have the furniture removed and voila, back to 5 Star Ratings.
