This week I had to do something uncomfortable.
I called out a new member who was posting in a way that felt… off.
Faceless profile pic.
Comments on every single post that sounded repetitive and generic. "what was your biggest takeaway/challenge..."
Stories that felt more like “warming people up” than actually sharing. He shared the same exact posts in other groups and was getting the same side-eye reaction I was feeling...
I DM’d him directly and asked what his real intention was here.
His reply? Politely-worded fluff that didn’t address anything.
I pushed for accountability and a direct answer.
Then silence. Then he left our group.
And honestly? I’m glad.
Because it reminded me: my #1 job is to protect the people in this space.
If you’re here, I want you to feel safe. Supported. Free to share without wondering if someone’s just here to pitch you.
So here’s the standard:
- Be real.
- Be respectful.
- Share what’s working, what’s not.
- Provide support for others to share openly.
- Zero tolerance for sketchy spam vibes.
I appreciate y'all so much for spending time here, trusting me and sharing your stories. And I hope you feel this whenever you come into this space!
