As we stepped into the new year, I had my list of goals laid out perfectly—big plans for my Etsy shop and design membership, strategies to help you grow yours, and all the excitement that comes with a fresh start.
😱But life had other plans.
Two of my kids recently transitioned from traditional school to being schooled at home via a private school option (not me teaching, lol, as that would be a disaster😂).
🌪️Let me tell you, it’s been a whirlwind. Juggling this new responsibility while trying to keep up with my goals has been challenging, to say the least. At first, I felt overwhelmed, wondering how I could balance it all.
🛑But then, I made a decision: instead of seeing this as an obstacle, I’d embrace it as an opportunity. I took a step back, adjusted my plans, and reworked how my days were going to look with this new schedule and I made it work, just in a different way :)
This experience reminded me that unexpected challenges don’t have to derail us (because those are going to come whether we like it or not).
Instead, they can be the very thing that pushes us to grow and find new ways to thrive. In my situation, this change led to me getting RID of all busy work that does not move the needle which was WAY more than I thought!
So, if something has come up that’s thrown off your plans, don’t let it stop you. Take it one day at a time. Adjust where you need to. And most importantly, look for the blessing in the challenge. You might be surprised at what you find.
