👀Let’s Talk Etsy SEO Tools
Just wanted to provide some clarification because I've seen a few questions/comments/concerns in the groups surround SEO tools:
🛑 No Etsy SEO research tool — I don’t care how many fancy graphs it has :) — is ever going to be 100% accurate. Why? Because Etsy simply doesn’t give out the full scoop.
Here’s the deal: all SEO tools (whether it's Everbee, Erank, ProfitTree, Sales Samurai, Marmalead or the flavor of the month) rely on Etsy’s API access, which only shares limited data. That means every tool is basically working off the same incomplete puzzle…
💡 That’s why you’ll notice:
  • Keyword search volume might be different across tools
  • “Competition score” can mean wildly different things depending on the platform
  • One tool might say a keyword is 🔥 hot, and another says it’s meh 🙃
So does that mean these tools are useless?
Absolutely not. I personally use and recommend Everbee, Erank, and ProfitTree — but I also don’t treat them like the Etsy gospel.
They’re guides, not guarantees.
Here’s the best advice I can give you:
✅ Try a few tools and get a feel for which one fits your workflow
✅ Look at trends across multiple tools if you're unsure
✅ Use them to validate, not dictate, your product ideas
✅ And most importantly: know what you’re looking for when you open the tool (don’t just go keyword window shopping without a plan 😅)
And of course — pick one that fits your budget. Some are free-ish, some are paid, and some are ✨spicy✨ expensive. The reality is they all give you access to similar insights, just packaged differently.
🔁 TL;DR: No Etsy tool has a crystal ball. But if you use them wisely, they can absolutely give you a competitive edge. Test, tweak, and trust your gut too.
