Script Writing Practice:
Hook:
“You will never make any money doing that.”
That is what my mom told me when I was 26, standing in a CrossFit gym right after I graduated university.
Story:
We were talking about what I was going to do next.
I told her I wanted to be a coach.
She told me to get a real job.
So I did.
I applied to be a police officer.
Got the badge. Got the salary.
And over time… I was not okay.
Anxiety through the roof.
Anger higher than it should have been.
Living on pills just to stay level.
Lesson/Reveal:
Turns out ignoring what you are built for does not make life safer.
It just makes life feel like something you are surviving instead of living.
Proof:
I eventually burned out, walked away, and came back to coaching anyway.
Now I do this full time.
And I am a hell of a lot more myself.
Punchline:
Funny how the thing they told you not to do
is usually the thing that brings out your best.
