If you are stuck, tell us what you are trying to do, what you have tried, and where you need help. Questions and respectful feedback are always welcome. If you have a concern, contact me or an admin privately so we can help. 4. Protect the room. No spam, scams, inappropriate content, or sharing another member’s private information. 11 months later, it’s finally starting to click
I’ve spent the last 11 months trying to figure out how to make AI actually work inside my business. Some weeks, I felt like I had it figured out. Then something would break, and I’d be back at my desk trying to figure out what I missed. I’ve rebuilt parts of my business. Torn things down. Started over. We gained customers. We lost customers. And through all of that, I kept learning. How do you take all these AI tools and turn them into something that makes running a business easier? Because I already had plenty to do. Content to make. Customers to help. Messages to answer. Numbers to check. People to manage. I wanted some of that work off my plate. And it’s finally starting to come together. I’m finally getting the kind of production that used to take ten people, with work moving across different parts of the business at the same time. If you’ve ever tried to find good people, train them, explain how you want things done, and keep everything moving, you understand why that feels like such a big deal. But the biggest thing I’ve learned through this whole process is pretty simple. Start by giving AI one clear job. Think about hiring someone. If you brought a new person into your business and said, “Help me grow this thing,” they’d probably have a few questions 😂 What do you need help with? What should they do first? Where is everything? How do you want the work done? AI needs those instructions, too. That’s what I mean when I talk about an “AI employee.” It’s a computer helper you teach to do a certain job. It’s kind of like showing a new team member how you want the work done. And once I started looking at it that way, I could see where these helpers would fit into my day. Here are a few examples. An AI assistant for your morning. Think about how many places you check before you even start working. Email. Team messages. Customer questions. Your calendar. An AI assistant can help pull those updates into one morning brief. What happened? What needs your attention? What do you need to do today?
