Honestly? My $600 Shure SM7B is not the problem.
I had no clue what was wrong. Could've been the preamp, OBS settings, USB bandwidth, the whole chain. So I built a Claude Code skill that runs 9 automated diagnostics on any video file. One command.
Ran it. Found it in 5 minutes: audio was at -25 LUFS. YouTube wants -14. Preamp gain was sitting there, too low.
One FFmpeg command later? Fixed.
