"Stop using Opus" - Claude
Claude just dropped a new feature called the Advisor Strategy. Basically, it lets a cheaper model (like Sonnet or Haiku) do the heavy lifting, and then calls in Opus on demand when it needs help. The idea is you get better performance without burning through your usage. Sounds too good to be true? Yeah, I thought so too. So I built a tool to test it. Advisor Strategy Tester — runs every config side-by-side in parallel (Haiku, Sonnet, Opus, solo vs with an Opus Advisor) so you can compare cost, latency, and response quality for yourself. All you need is your API key from console.anthropic.com. Plug it in, pick a prompt, and hit run. Grab it here: https://github.com/lukejbyrne/advisor I covered the full breakdown in today's video too:
