In my 20s, I joined a tree service crew and worked my way through the early years of my life. This was before I really had anything figured out. It was probably a few of the best years of my life. The owner, Aaron Taddiken, did something amazing that completely disrupted his industry and it has stuck with me ever since. He took his knowledge of tree service estimating and developed a tree service estimating application and later sold it off for big money. It happened for him fast, and it proved to me what can be done if you think outside of the box. For me professionally, this was a turning point and opened my eyes to developing solutions around niche industries with a different take on what you can do and how you can be a successful.
