Monday Morning Muster - December 30
The meeting began with participants sharing how their holiday season went. Dominic noted that he was able to spend time with the people he likes and limit time with those he doesn't. The group then discussed the purpose of their Monday morning "muster" meetings - to gather, take stock, and align on the direction they're heading.
Dominic shared that he is taking a class to learn how to use Salesforce communities more effectively, as he is new to the community business side of things. He is looking to add more structure to the group as it gains more members.
Michael explained that he is in the process of transitioning into the Salesforce ecosystem. He recently took the Salesforce Certified Administrator exam for the first time but did not pass. He is now preparing to retake the exam on January 9th and discussed his study approach, including using Trailhead and practice exams.
Dominic provided detailed advice to Michael on how to effectively prepare for and approach the Salesforce Administrator exam. Key points included: understanding the exam's context and requirements, thoroughly testing both right and wrong answers to build intuition, and not getting overly attached to passing or failing.
Eboni shared her own experience of passing the Salesforce Administrator exam on the second attempt. She recommended writing down answers during the first pass through the practice exam, then reviewing the full exam a second time to catch any connections between questions.
Dominic offered to provide additional support to Michael this week as he prepares for his exam retake, including making himself available for one-on-one sessions to review practice questions. He encouraged Michael to let go of any attachment to passing or failing, and to view the process as one of continuous learning.
