Empathy is more than kindness.
It is the willingness to pauseā¦to listenā¦to see beyond what is visible.
Many people carry burdens that never appear on the surface.
A smile may hide fear.
Confidence may hide exhaustion.
Silence may hide years of disappointment.
Living with a disability taught me something
I did not fully understand as a young woman.
The greatest gift we can offer another person is not always advice.
Sometimes it is our presence.
Sometimes it is listening without trying to fix.
Sometimes it is believing in someone before they believe in themselves.
Empathy does not weaken us.
It opens doors that judgment never can. Today, choose to slow down.
Ask one more question.
Listen a little longer.
Offer grace before assumptions.
You may never know how deeply your compassion changes someoneās life.
