Making IEM tracks for your group?
My a cappella group Vocestra is now using IEMs to cue the group and play supporting tracks to keep things "tight" It's one mix for all Headsets and no we don't feed everyone in. Only on ear in. For now... Just wondering if anyone in here has opinions or suggestions about how to build them to be as useful as possible.

Let’s get this setup
https://www.facebook.com/share/1agKB4DMiw/?mibextid=wwXIfr How to Perform and Record 'Be Kind" With Your Group FROM PRODUCER DEKE SHARON I’m so excited for you to join us in this wonderful endeavor! Please choose the voicing that is best for you. We have included PDF for you to print as sheet music or share on digital devices, Midi so you can playback notes, and XML if you would like to tweak the notes or sheet music at all. So that we’re able to combine a variety of videos into one master video, we ask that you: * Keep the song in the key of Bb * Keep the tempo at 130 beats per minute (a little faster than the original) Feel free to change anything else you’d like to make it fit your group, we just need the key and tempo to align. Ideally you’ll capture your audio - make a recording - then record a video while lipsync to your own voices (just as every video is made). We can’t wait to hear your joyous voices and see your creativity! In case you would like to reference the original song: SEE VIDEO And if you’d like to hear the first A Capella performance of this song (at NYC's Lincoln Center) to capture the vibe: WATCH THIS VIDEO Most of all HAVE FUN! When you have completed your video email [email protected] to request instructions on how/where to upload your final music video. You may share your own music video on any social media channels with this explanation and tags: Our a capella group joined a A Global Harmony for Remembrance of the 9/11 tragedy as the world marks the 25th anniversary in 2026. We sing Zak Abel's "Be Kind" because the world needs more kindness today. Start planning for the #11DaysofKindness in September where you live. #payitforward911 #neverforget #bekind We are grateful to Sony Music and songwriter Zak Abel for donating the rights to sing this song!
Honest question: Why do you sing?
Not "why is singing good" — I can read articles about vagus nerve stimulation and mental health benefits. I mean why do YOU personally sing? What does it give you that nothing else does? And if you've ever tried to explain it to someone who doesn't sing — how did that go? Because in my experience, non-singers look at you like you're describing a religious experience. And honestly... you kind of are.
