Welcome to Academia. I built this program to help you make better construction and property decisions. Membership stays free. Bring a real question, use the tools and share what you learn. Your unlock map Level 1 · Explorer · 0 points: Start with the Academia Toolkit, your project brief and the first mission. Level 2 · Project Starter · 5 points: Kitchen and Bathroom. Level 3 · Project Planner · 20 points: Flooring, Painting, HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical. Level 4 · Systems Thinker · 65 points: Roofing, Windows, Solar, Real Estate and Construction Sales. Level 5 onward: Recognition for sustained contribution and opportunities to put forward cases for founder discussions. Community titles describe participation; they are not professional credentials. How you earn points Skool awards one point when another member likes your post or comment. Watching a video, marking a lesson complete or passing a quiz does not itself award these points. Quizzes and educational completion remain separate. Share a useful observation, ask a clear question, explain a trade-off or help someone improve their project brief. Like contributions that actually help you. No like exchanges, copied answers, referral requirements or repetitive comments to collect points. Your first move Open Start Here in the Academia Toolkit. Then complete Mission 01 in Project Missions. You can use a fictional project. Keep addresses, client records and personal financial information out of community posts. Meet the founder I am available for group conversations about the program and practical project questions. Use Founder Sessions to suggest a topic or express interest in an in-person presentation. Dates, format and available places will be confirmed before anyone books or travels.

Founder Sessions | Bring a question. Build a useful case.
I am Jose Urdaneta, founder and developer of this program. I want our conversations to help you connect the lessons to decisions you actually face. Use this thread to suggest a group discussion, bring forward a case or express interest in an in-person presentation. Everyone may express interest. Build toward a founder discussion Level 3 · Project Planner: bring a focused question and name the lesson or worksheet you used. Level 4 · Systems Thinker: put forward a short case with facts, unknowns, options and the decision you need to make. Level 5 and above: express interest in a smaller group discussion or an in-person presentation and help other members prepare their cases. These are participation opportunities, not automatic reservations or guaranteed private meetings. We will consider relevance, preparation, useful questions and available capacity. A leaderboard position alone does not select a case. Comment using this template Topic: Lesson or mission used: My question or decision: What I have verified: What is still unknown: Preferred format: online group / in-person presentation City or general area, if relevant: Please remove names, exact addresses, client documents and private financial details. A fictional learning case is welcome. Dates, location, format and available places will be announced and confirmed before booking or travel. No session is scheduled by submitting this form of interest. These discussions are educational. Project-specific design, inspections, approvals and professional services require a separate appropriate process. Participation titles and course completion are not trade licenses. Start with Mission 01 · Read the unlock map Bring a clear question. Let’s make the conversation useful. — Jose

Mission 01 | Turn your idea into a project brief
Your first challenge: turn an idea into a brief that someone else can understand. Use a real project with identifying details removed, or a clearly labeled fictional example. 1. Learn: Open Start Here in the Academia Toolkit and use the project-planning worksheets attached to the course. 2. Apply: Write one goal, three facts and where each came from, two things you still need to verify, and one next action with its owner. 3. Share: Add your brief as a comment below. Include one focused question. Help another member by identifying a useful question, missing record or trade-off. Copy this template Project type: Real or fictional: Goal: Three facts + sources: Two unknowns: Next action + who will do it: My question: Worked example — fictional kitchen Goal: improve storage without assuming walls or services can move. Facts: the sketch shows one doorway; the appliance list includes a refrigerator; the family brief asks for more pantry space. These are details supplied for this fictional exercise, not verified site conditions. Unknowns: wall construction and service locations. Next action: the project owner gathers the existing drawings and asks the appropriate professionals what needs verification. Question: what information would you request before comparing layout options? What makes a helpful response? Name what is clear. Point out one assumption. Suggest one specific next step. Explain why it helps. A question is welcome; confident guesses are not required. Do not post addresses, client records, account numbers or private budgets. No site work is required. This is a planning exercise. Skool points come from other members liking useful posts and comments. This mission does not automatically award points or certify your knowledge. Likes are not a technical review. Open the Academia Toolkit · See the unlock map
