Have you thought about Thanksgiving yet?
This Bible lesson is one I made for the ladies in jail to help them be part of the preparations that they would do with their families.
To explain a little when I went to visit them. Being at our local jail, non of the people that were in jail could not go outside at all. They only has small windows (6"x 1') in their room. Which was extra small, 1 roommate, unless they the jail was over booked. Then 1 other person would be added to the room which she slept in a sled (I would call it). That is all that would fit in the room. So being out with the other ladies was nice. Yes was up and down time. But it wasn't the same as their own family members. On a occasion, I would have a mother & daughter or sisters or aunts. At the begin before we would start, the I asked the ladies to write down any prayer request, then we would pray and start the lesson.
When I made this Bible study it was fun to image themselves doing different things with their family and digging into God's word to feed them at that moment in time. Teaching them where their they would get their supplies (the land, not just the grocery store) and how God provides their every need, big or small. As they were doing their Bible verses, they drew a picture as well. When everyone was done, we came together and the group portion to the table to share with everyone. After every group placed their portions on the table, we gave thanks by sharing what they are thankful and gave God the glory what He had done in their life and family.
I hope you enjoy this Bible study and have fun with it too. I thought this would give you time to work on it before next week. I know I have been blessed every time I went to share about Jesus. I get so excited.
