Trevor Noah said something I've had to sit with all week.
He was talking with Brené Brown about being able to disagree with people you genuinely like and trust — without the relationship suddenly feeling unsafe. Here's why it hit me. When you start doing this work — when you get clear on who you are and where you're actually going — the people closest to you feel it first. And often, they push back. Not because they don't love you. Because you changed the shape of something they had gotten comfortable with. And this is where most of us go quiet. We soften it. We stop mentioning the course. We stop talking about the plan. We keep the peace by making ourselves smaller — and we tell ourselves that's being kind. It isn't kind. It's just quiet. A relationship that can't hold your growth was never being protected by your silence. The strong ones can take it. Let them. 👇 Who was the first person to push back when you started changing — and how did you handle it?

Welcome Sis
I am so glad you said yes. 🤍 This space was built for the woman who is ready to stop waiting and start becoming. Not perfectly — intentionally. A Woman In Progress is your space to grow in who you are, own how you show up, and build something that outlasts you. Three pillars. One community. Your story at the center of all of it. Welcome Video 👇 https://youtube.com/shorts/UHFU3Jeh2hI?si=xZ8sPOB-ZrqXHGsk Here is what to do right now: ① Introduce yourself in the comments — your name, where you are, and one word for where you are in this season ② Share your stories, your experience, your ideas and why did you join "A Woman In Progress" ③ Share your first win, reflection, or question in the feed - this community grows when we show up Ten years — this brand has been building toward this moment. And you are part of it. Welcome home. 🤍 — Lorelle x

What Are You Building On?
I’ve watched women build beautiful things on shaky ground. I’ve done it myself. We’re taught to ask “what should I do next?” long before anyone teaches us to ask “what am I building on?” So we build on someone else’s definition of success. Someone else’s picture of a good wife, a good mother, a good leader. And it never holds. Growth and transformation don’t start with the next step. They start with the ground underneath it. A real foundation holds three things: → Your own story, not a borrowed one → Who you are, separate from what you produce → Who you’re here to serve New episode is up — link below. One question to sit with this week: what have you been building on?

The Home That Taught Me Before I Had Words For It
Good morning Ladies 🤍✨ Home teaches us something before we ever have words for it — whether it was warm or whether it was hard. For me, home taught welcome. At least it’s one of the many lessons. My granny lived with us, and making people feel at home was simply how things worked in our house. For others, home taught something different — what to guard against, what not to repeat, what love wasn’t supposed to look like. That lesson counts just as much. Sometimes what shapes us most isn’t what we were given, but what we decided, even as children, we’d do differently one day. Wherever your home falls on that spectrum, it taught you something real. That’s part of the foundation this journey of growth and transformation actually starts from. What did your home teach you? You don’t have to answer that here — sometimes just naming it to yourself is enough for today. 🤍

Sticking Together — Why Walking Alone Was Never the Plan
I was reading my devotional this morning — a small pocket book by Carolyn Larsen, and this morning’s message really reminded me of who we are as a community. 😁 It’s on Romans 1:11-12 — it spoke about how we’re not meant to walk through life alone, and how encouraging one another, walking side by side, makes what we’re carrying lighter and stronger than trying to carry it by ourselves. I know not everyone in this community shares my faith, and I want to honor that. But reading it, I couldn’t stop thinking about who we are as A Woman In Progress, faith or no faith. Because underneath everything we’ve built here, that’s exactly the heart of it: we were never meant to live on islands. We were made to journey through life in community — celebrated, supported, and encouraged by each other, especially when the road gets hard. That’s what this space has always been for. Not a place to walk alone and figure it all out yourself, but a place to walk together. Whoever’s reading this today — however you got here, whatever season you’re in — I’m grateful you’re not walking it alone. 🤍
