Answer the essay question part 2!
The biggest mistake that students make in their essays is not answering the question. This is often the section on the marking key that is worth the most marks, and yet a lot of students are missing out on marks or even failing their essays because they do not properly answer the question.
You may have heard your teacher bang on about using the 'key words'. There is a good reason for this. What you need to do is to underline the key words in the question and make sure that every paragraph you write relates back to these key words. Sprinkle them throughout your essay to make sure that you are, indeed, answering the question.
Watch your marks increase once you do this one simple thing!
