👋🏽 Welcome to A Book Club for Men. 🙏🏽 Thank you to everyone who joined, especially right now, because most of you were personally invited by text, phone call, DM, or email. It really means a lot that you see value in this group and decided to read with me. I’ll keep this post short, but I can’t wait to see how much this community grows and where it goes. 📚 💬 To get us talking, let’s start with a fun question: Introduce yourself and tell us the first book you remember reading on your own? Not a mandatory book from school, but something you chose yourself — maybe you picked it up at the library or found it somewhere in your home. 🙋🏽♂️ I’ll go first. I think I was in the 1st or 2nd grade. We had a bookshelf at home with a bunch of random books, and one of them was about Martin Luther King Jr. One day, I grabbed it and just started reading. Surprisingly, it was an easy read, and I finished it pretty quickly. I’m not sure what happened after about the 5th grade, but my casual reading started to decline and basically stopped. And now, nearly 40 years later, here I am starting a book club. 😂📖 So what was yours? 👇🏽
