πŸ“΅Swimpros Presents: THE NO-NAG METHOD (rules to join, read carefully)
The No-Nag Method -> Get your swimmer off the phone without the war. Yes, you know exactly what I'm talking about... Whether you just watched my video or you're finding this in the group for the first time, you're in exactly the right place. Read this once and you'll know exactly what we're doing, why it works, and the one thing to do today. πŸ”₯ What this is A short challenge (kicks off the last week of June, right here in the group) where we get your competitive teen swimmer (12+) off the phone without nagging, without confiscating, without being the bad guy. I run it with you. You, me, and your swimmer. You just follow the steps and show up. πŸ“² Why we don't just take the phone away After about 13, strict phone rules don't just stop working, they backfire... a teenager is wired to push back against being controlled, so every rule becomes the next thing they rebel against. It was never that you weren't trying hard enough. So we do the opposite: stop policing the kid, start changing the conditions. The 3 moves (the whole method): 1️⃣ Clear the Lane Change the environment, not the kid. Three screen-free zones (phone charges outside the bedroom, screen-free dinner, screen-free hour before bed). Most of the nightly battle just disappears. 2️⃣ Sign the Line Your swimmer says, in their own words, why this helps their swimming, picks what they'll do instead, and signs a simple agreement they actually own. When it's their idea, it sticks. This is the engine. 3️⃣ Keep the Splits Track it like a race: screen time, sleep, morning energy. They log it, watch the numbers move, and it becomes a game they want to win. What to expect Short daily steps in this group, each quick and clear. Better sleep, sharper mornings at the pool, fewer fights.... and a swimmer who's CHOOSING it. I'll be right here the whole way. Your first step πŸ‘‰ Today (3 min): ONE conversation with your swimmer. Relaxed moment, phones away (yours too), then ask: "What's a goal you have in swimming that you've never really told me about?"

@David Karasek I talked to my son, he is willing to participate in this challenge; first he is competive for everything and second wont to do all that can make him better swimmer. His screen time is two hour or less but he plays video games. His long term goal is to go on the Olymipic games, and short term goal is to win a medal in National comeptition on 18.-19.of July.

My swimmer told me again that his shortterm goal is to win a medal on National competition. I asked what discilines, he replays: All. For the first time he said that he would be ready to go abroad for school if it would be necessary to improve swimming and give him opportunity to reach higher goals in swimming. He will change screen time with football championsip mostly, maybee reading- this Im not sure πŸ˜ƒ
πŸ€” What Are the Real Odds Your Kid Swims in the Olympics?!
Your kid is probably not going to the Olympics. And that's the best news I can give you. I know how that sounds. Stay with me. Your kid probably won't get the full D1 ride either, or swim professionally. That's not me being negative... that's just the math. Only about 3 in 100 high-school swimmers ever swim NCAA Division 1, and a full-ride swimming scholarship is rarer still. The odds of going PRO are wayyyy below 1000:1... no matter how fast they are at 13. Here's why it's good news, and it's not to crush a dream. Something clicked for me reading a business newsletter, of all places. The writer pointed out that almost every business owner dreams of selling their company one day.. but only about 1 in 1'000 ever actually does. And in chasing that exit, people spend their whole career sacrificing the thing that was valuable the entire time, and often end up with neither. Swap "selling the company" for "going pro" and you've described a lot of swim families. Because here's what's valuable RIGHT NOW, guaranteed, win or lose: A kid who learns to lose and come back. Who builds a work ethic most adults never find. Who has a team, a body that moves, a reason to get up early, and a thing that is unmistakably theirs. That payoff is real whether or not the Olympic one ever shows up. So don't optimize your kid's entire childhood around a 0.1% outcome and burn out the joy that would have paid off either way. Let it count now. And I genuinely want to know, so be honest: if someone could tell you for certain your kid will never swim past high school... would you still want them in this sport? And why? Hoping to get an interesting conversation going in the comments! πŸ‘‡ PS: Academy training tomorrow will be live from Mallorca!! 🌴

I love reading a well-written text @David Karasek And I love writing as well. Of course, the Olympic Games are a dream that only a few have the opportunity to experience. Let that be the ultimate goal and motivation for athletes, while European, national, and other competitions also bring satisfaction and reward for their effort. Through sports, children learn endurance, concentration, how to deal with both rewards and the absence of good result, and the value of persistence. I believe it is important for an athlete to achieve his full potential, whether that is at a school competition, a national championship, a European championship, or the Olympic Games. And my point is: Mens sana in corpore sano! πŸ™‚
♣️ Who's thinking about changing clubs for next year??
I'm curious please vote below. Depending on the votes, Yul and I might be running a special training for swimmers and parents who want to switch to another club. We have been part of many successful transitions and we know what to do (and what to avoid!!) to find a great team & coach. Vote HERE πŸ‘‡

I’m not thinking about moving my son to another swim club, but I’ve noticed that some parentsβ€”and occasionally even I have the same thoughtβ€”wonder whether their child would achieve better results if they swam for a different club, especially when we see children from a larger or more successful club performing better. It’s difficult for parents to know whether their child is simply performing at the best level they’re capable of at that moment, or whether another club provides better coaching and their child would improve there. Maybe this could be a topic for one of your future posts or videos. I’m convinced that every parent thinks about this from time to time: Would a different coach or club be better for my child if another child is swimming so well and winning championships? Thank you very much! @David Karasek

They touch the wall, look up at the clock, then look straight at you... In this one I break down the same mindset work I took the kids through on Sunday, and the role you play in what actually happens in the pool. Here's what's inside: πŸ‘‰ What your face is telling them before they even dive πŸ‘‰ The car ride home that always ends the same way πŸ‘‰ Why "just think positive" never sticks (and what actually rewires it) πŸ‘‰ The thought about your own kid you'd never say out loud Watch here. @David Karasek fantastic training you gave us last night. I will watch it again! Recommendation to all parents, it is useful for kids but also for us adults!
We've been sitting on a secret for months… (+ No Nag Method & Creatine Guide)
Aaaaaand we finally get to say it out loud πŸ‘€ 3 things dropped today, and one of them is genuinely a "wait, WHAT?" moment: 1) The surprise πŸ† We expanded the coaching staff for the summer Performance Accelerators in Tenerife… and we landed a WORLD RECORD HOLDER. He famously lost to Michael Phelps by 1/100 in the 100m fly. He's coaching at BOTH camps, for the full month. Your swimmers are going to lose their minds (in the best way). More on who it is in today's video. 2) The No-Nag Method πŸ“΅ Get your swimmer off the phone WITHOUT nagging, confiscating, or being the bad guy. It's free, it runs right here in the group, and we're capping it at 30 swim families (we're already most of the way there). It kicks off the last week of June. Read this pinned post to see how to claim one of the last spots. We're almost full. 3) The free creatine guide πŸ’ͺ 20+ peer-reviewed studies, all on competitive swimmers (not runners, not triathletes). Interactive quiz + a full Swimpros PDF specifically designed to give you everything you need to know to make your own decision. πŸ‘‰ It's FREE in here until tomorrow (Friday) evening. Afterwards it's living inside the Premium Membership. Comment "CREATINE" below and I'll send you the secret link. And then go watch today's video for the full surprise πŸ‘‡
