Gary Bencivenga's copy magic breakdown!
3 Ads handwritten and suddenly I'm a pro? This is what I felt after writing ads of Great Gary Belvicinga. All his ads were written differently. His words perfectly molding according to audience and their awareness level. • Some felt like he was talking like a friend who's got great knowledge about EVERYTHING. • Another felt like a brother advising how to do things right (awareness). His recent ad that I wrote was different. It was challenging, taking the risk to make it work. All the copies I've read and written, Gary's made sense. It made me wonder if I can write for the audience who will want to buy after hearing/reading my words. Someone told me "Copy is about analysing the audience and arrangement of your words". It couldn't be more better explanation of what a good copy is.

@Lam Quang khai yes and it helped me understand the pattern honestly.
Critique my copy.
Hey everyone. Critique my copy. Wrote for the first time. Give me some brutal, honest feedbacks to improve it. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BbowTTVwO-aRS3ss_UrQlpb4Z24V7f4gyEEHwsyh-TY/edit?usp=drivesdk

Landed an Email copy client on UpWork
I sent a loom video with my UpWork proposal and judging from the clients response this was what really helped me to stand out from other applicants - showing myself live in a video. I wouldn't have had the ability to speak so confidently in a video proposal if I hadn't gone through List Boss V1 back in Sept 2024. Investing $50 to learn about email list management directly from an expert is a no-brainer.

FAST. @Alicia Joseph really wanna learn some things but, YouTube videos are too generic for it.
Lessons from Handcopying David Ogilvy's ad for The Reader's Digest
1. It's more of a brand awareness ad than a direct response ad as it doesn't tell the reader to buy the subscription or do anything else for that matter. 2. It's written from a customer pov. So less skepticism in reading through the ad. 3. The ad consistently transitioned between the reality of what happened and the Writer’s internal monologue. 4. It targets busy people and emphasis on the fact that you may be able to get the same (maybe even more) from other sources but do you have that much time. 5. Also emphasising on the fact that the growth of the digest is not luck, but rather the competence of people behind the digest.

@Ahnaf Mafi I'll say both, because I like that it is very easy to read and the transition is smooth.
